Billy Hirschfeld, Learning Academy and Program Assistant
I’m excited to start this next chapter in my career by joining the Journey21 team. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Communications Degree in 2019. For the past four years, I worked at Arrowhead Union High School as a Special Education Teacher's Aide, assisting the teachers and students who need help inside and outside the classroom. I found joy working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an academic setting and look forward to making a career in the field of education. Currently, I am the Defensive Line Coach for the varsity football team at Arrowhead High School. In addition, I’m the Assistant Coach for the Junior Varsity Basketball Team. I look forward to bringing my athletics knowledge and passion to the Journey21 participants.
On May 4, 2023, I married my wonderful wife, Ashley. We love going on nature walks and exploring the trails in state parks. Both of us enjoy the game of basketball; playing some shootaround at the park, watching college and pro basketball, and discussing different approaches to the game. We also enjoy spoiling and loving our pup, Cody.
