November 30, 2023 - CAMP WHITCOMB PARTNERSHIP

The Learning Academy and 18-21 Transition Academy visited Camp Whitcomb every Monday this semester to participated in learning and service.  For the past 12 weeks during the mornings at Camp Whitcomb, we learned how to build a shelter in the woods, cook over a campfire, archery, canoeing, fishing, catching frogs, and had a wagon ride throughout the camps beautiful 330 acres. During the afternoons, we did a variety of service projects including harvesting the gardens and getting them ready for the winter season, cleaning the lodges and cabins, and taking care of the campgrounds. It was the perfect way to give back while developing our soft skills. Thank you to Camp Whitcomb for your partnership and sharing the beauty of nature with Journey21!
