Journey to Independence
Welcome to Journey to Independence, where we offer daily enriching experiences designed to foster self-confidence and independence, all within a supportive and positive environment.
Journey to Independence is for adults 18 or older who have an IDD. Our enrichment programs are specialized based on the needs of individuals and offer a variety of goal-orientated activities and opportunities that promote independence. Individuals choose to participate in activities and community outings based on personal abilities and interests.
Skill development is a critical component of all Journey21 programming opportunities. Individuals will develop their daily living skills, like doing the laundry, preparing meals and grocery shopping, while hanging out with friends to laugh and socialize in a supportive environment.
The daily enriching programming will encompass essential daily living skills, health and wellness, art, music, fitness, and skill-building classes. Equally important are the community trips and opportunities to give back, all integral parts of the enriching Journey to Independence experience.
The first day of our Journey to Independence Program will be on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Please contact Caty Bulgrin, cbulgrin@journey21.org, if you have any questions on the admission process, hours, or funding.
